BIODYNAMIC PSYCHOLOGY

« From the moment we are conceived, our body records every experience we live. Deep within its tissues, it holds traces of unprocessed experiences that can hinder our natural growth. Through the gentle release of these imprints from the past, Biodynamic Psychology soothes the body and nourishes our innermost being.» François Lewin

Attentive to the subtle needs of the deepest self, Biodynamic Psychology gently helps to release deep-rooted patterns held within the body and mind, allowing one to open to a genuine sense of vitality, autonomy, and well-being.

It rests on the principle that every human being carries within them a positive potential — the core self, our essential nature.

This innate nature has the capacity to adapt to life’s challenges and to maintain balance and self-regulation.

Yet, disturbances in emotional development during childhood can distance us from this primary, authentic self.

Biodynamic Psychology, through sensitive attunement to the body and the use of various body–mind techniques, invites the emergence of one’s natural capacity for self-regulation and well-being.

Biodynamic Psychology has been around for over 60 years. It was developed by the psychologist and physiotherapist of Norwegian origin Gerda Boyesen (1922-2005).

The Biodynamic Psychology training is recognised by the main representative organisations of psychotherapy in France and Europe: the EAP (European Association for Psychotherapy), the EABP (European Association for Body Psychotherapy), and the FF2P (French Federation of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy).
